Strict provisions have been made in the Act that any form of land grabbing or any other activity done for the purpose of land grabbing in the state will be considered as a prohibited, illegal and punishable offense.

The state government will set up special courts as per the requirement for speedy-transparent investigation and hearing of such land grabbing cases as well as strict punishment of land mafias.
Arrangements will also be made for such a special court to dispose of such cases within six months of the case being entered in the court in most cases.
The State Government will appoint a Public Prosecutor in each special court for expeditious hearing of cases.
Such a special court will be able to take strict legal action against the land grabbers with suo moto.

This period was till 31st August and now it has been extended till 31st October 2020.Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said that pensioners / family pensioners receiving pension in the state have to verify their annual survival.

Solid and liquid waste management is essential for maintaining cleanliness in the village. For solid waste management, cleaning equipment like tricycle and hand cart will be provided to 14 gram panchayats of the state. 2 water treatment plants will be set up in about 50 gram panchayats for the management of such waste liquid waste for which a total provision of Rs. 31 crore will be made.

Madare Watan Yojana Smart Villages Sachem Under the Gujarat Government’s scheme, solid waste is to be collected through door-to-door collection. At present, a grant of Rs. 2 per person per month is to be given to all Gram Panchayats. Instead, a monthly grant of Rs 4 per person should be given, a provision of Rs 3 crore.

Gandhinagar, February 27: In his Budget for the fiscal 2020-21, Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Nitin Patel has allocated Rs. 200 crore (USD 28 million) towards development of smart villages by the Non-Resident Gujaratis (NRGs).

Known as “Madar-e-Watan”, the new scheme aims to attract NRGs to develop their native places as smart villages in Gujarat. The State Government would contribute an amount equal to the one spent by the NRGs.

For the financial year 2020-21, the State Government has allocated Rs. 200 crore to encourage the NRGs to launch projects.

Under the new scheme, the State Government proposes to contribute an equal share of the sum spent by an NRI for development of facilities like schools, class rooms, smart classes, anganwadis, crematorium, dispensaries, roads, water tanks ponds and toilets in Gujarat.

Non-Residents Indians (NRI) from 19 states had recently adopted 62 villages in India for their conversion into smart villages. A smart village reverses migration by providing extra earning for villagers, and better healthcare and education in villages.

  • The loan has to be repaid in equal monthly installments of five years after three months of receipt of the vehicle.
  • The small business will have to start within three months of getting the loan and after three months after starting the business the loan will be recovered in an equal monthly installment of five years.
  • For a loan amounting to a total of Rs.2.50 lakh or less, the beneficiary will have to incur a burden on his or her relative’s property worth one and a half times the loan amount.
  • If the total loan amount is more than Rs. 3.50 lakh, the total amount will have to be mortgaged in favor of oneself or any other relative’s real estate corporation.
  • Each borrower will have to give five post dated checks signed in favor of the corporation.

All self-employment schemes will also have the following qualifications.

  • The applicant should be a native of Gujarat and should be of non-reserved category.
  • The age of the applicant should be between 18 years to 60 years.
  • The interest rate on the loan will be 5% per annum for simple interest and 3% for women.
  • The same amount will be lent per year. Simple interest will be treated accordingly.
Interest rate: The interest rate on the loan will be 5% per annum for simple interest and 3% for women.
Income limit: Annual income limit of the family is Rs. 4.00 lakhs or less

NEW DELHI: Women Jan Dhan bank account holders will start getting the second installment of Rs 500 from Monday in line with the announcement made by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in March.

To help the poor tide over the COVID-19 crisis, the government had on March 26 said ex-gratia payment of Rs 500 would be credited to women Jan Dhan account holders for the next three months, starting from April.

“Instalment of Rs.500 for the month of May has been sent to the bank A/cs of PMJDY women beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package.

“Beneficiaries are requested to follow the schedule shared below to visit banks & CSPs. Money can also be withdrawn via ATMs & BCs,” Financial Services Secretary Debasish Panda said in a tweet on Saturday.

The transfer has been staggered over a period of five days to avoid rush at the bank branches. This will help in ensuring social distancing and avoid overcrowding in banks, he said.

As per the schedule, women account holders under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) having account number with last digit as 0 and 1 will get the money in their account on May 4, while accounts ending with 2 or 3 can approach the bank on May 5.

On May 6, beneficiaries with account numbers ending with 4 or 5 can collect their money, while accounts ending with 6 or 7 may withdraw on May 8.

The last tranche would be remitted on May 11 for account numbers ending with 8 or 9, the tweet said.

In case of emergency, one can withdraw the money immediately. However, for orderly disbursal, one must follow the banks’ payment plan, it said. Beneficiaries may withdraw any day at their convenience after May 11, it added.

Beneficiaries are encouraged to use the neighbourhood ATMs with RuPay cards, Bank Mitras and customer service points (CSPs) as much as possible to avoid crowding at the branches, it said.

“Please note that there will be no charges for withdrawing money from other bank ATMs, at present, as per the government directives,” it said.

During April as many as 20.05 crore women Jan Dhan account holders received Rs 500 each in their accounts as the first installment. The total disbursement under the head was Rs 10,025 crore as on April 22.

In a bid to mitigate hardship caused by the coronavirus crisis, the government in late March announced a Rs 1.7 lakh crore stimulus package comprising free foodgrains and cooking gas to poor and cash doles to poor women and elderly.

As per the schedule, women account holders under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Women Account Holders (PMJDY) having account number with last digit as 0 and 1 will get the money in their account on May 4, while accounts ending with 2 or 3 can approach the bank on May 5.

On May 6, beneficiaries with account numbers ending with 4 or 5 can collect their money, while accounts ending with 6 or 7 may withdraw on May 8.

On May 11 for account numbers ending with 8 or 9 can collect the money.
Even if money is not withdrawn immediately, it will be safe in accounts. Beneficiaries may withdraw any day at their convenience after May 11, it added.

security of the working poor and is focused on encouraging and enabling them to join
the National Pension System (NPS). To address the longevity risks among the
workers in unorganized sector and to encourage the workers in unorganized sector
to voluntarily save for their retirement, who constitute 88% of the total labour force of
47.29 crore as per the 66th Round of NSSO Survey of 2011-12, but do not have any
formal pension provision, the Government had started the Swavalamban Scheme in
2010-11. However, coverage under Swavalamban Scheme is inadequate mainly due
to lack of guaranteed pension benefits at the age of 60.

If you have not taken any pension plan till date and you want to take a plan in which you want to be entitled to a pension by paying less then the Central Government’s Atal Pension Scheme is right for you. Under this, on reaching the age of 60, one gets a pension of Rs.1000 to Rs.5000 per month. It can be invested by a person between the ages of 18 and 40.

  • Atal Pension Yojana forms are available online and at the bank. You can download the form from the official website.
  • The forms are available in English, Hindi, Bangla, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, and Telugu.
  • Fill up the application form and submit it to your bank.
  • Provide a valid mobile number, if you haven’t already provided to the bank.
  • Submit a photocopy of your Aadhaar card.
  • You will be sent a confirmation message when the application is approved.

  • The monthly contribution depends upon the amount of pension you want to receive upon retirement and also the age at which you start contributing. The following table tells you how much you need to contribute per annum based on your age and pension plan.
  • Anyone between the ages of 18 and 40 can open an account
  • Anyone between the ages of 18 and 40 can open an Atal Pension Scheme account
  • To join the scheme, one needs to have a savings bank account, Aadhaar and an active mobile number
  • If a person takes this scheme, he has to invest at least 20 years.
  • Investors can invest monthly, quarterly or semi-annual i.e. for a period of 6 months.
  • Contribution will be auto debited. That is, the fixed amount will be automatically deducted from your account and credited to your pension account.
  • How much will be deducted depends on how much pension you want after retirement.
  • In it you can claim tax benefit up to Rs 1.5 lakh under section 80c.
  • You can make a contribution of Rs 42 to 210 per month
  • For a pension of Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000 per month, the subscriber will have to pay from Rs 42 to Rs 210 per month. This will happen when the plan is taken at the age of 18.
  • On the other hand, if a subscriber takes up the scheme at the age of 40, he will have to make a monthly contribution ranging from Rs 291 to Rs 1454.
  • The more the subscriber contributes, the more pension he will get after retirement. However, it should not exceed Rs 5,000. That is why the contribution will also be according to it.

  • Eligibility of the beneficiary of Atal Pension Scheme
  • The Atal Pension Scheme (APY) is for all Indian citizens between the ages of 18 and 40. To avail the benefits of this scheme, everyone has to pay the amount fixed by the government for at least 30 years. Any bank account holder who is not a member of any such social security scheme can avail this scheme.
  • For a monthly pension of Rs.1000 / – to Rs.3000 / -, the beneficiary will have to pay an age based contribution of Rs.5 / – to Rs.21 / -.
  • The level of contribution will vary with the age of the person. A person who joins at a younger age will have less contribution and more for older age.

 

Important Facts to know about APY

  • Since you will be making periodic contributions, the amounts will be debited automatically from your account. You need to make sure that you have sufficient balance in your account before each debit.
  • You can increase your premium at your will. You just have to visit your bank and talk to your manager and make the necessary changes.
  • In case you default on your payments, a penalty will be levied. A penalty of Rs. 1 per month for a contribution of every Rs. 100 or part thereof.
  • In case you default on your payments for 6 months, your account will be frozen and if the default continues for 12 months, the account will be closed and the remaining amount will be paid to the subscriber.
  • Early withdrawal is not entertained. Only in cases like death or terminal illness, the subscriber, or his/her nominee will receive the entire amount back.
  • In the event that you close the scheme before the age of 60 for any other reason, only your contribution plus interest earned will be returned. You will not be eligible to receive the government’s co-contribution or the interest earned on that amount.

To encourage investment in this scheme, a new account will be credited to the account holder by the Central Government before 31-12-2017 within a maximum limit of Rs.1000 / – per annum or whichever is less than 50% of the total contribution in the account. (From 2013-14 to 2017-20) The savers of the present Rashtriya Swavalamban Yojana will be automatically transferred to the Atal Pension Scheme
